The government recently announced that KTM Komuter will be offering a 20% discount on its fares for all sectors, starting April 1st.
Transport Minister, Anthony Loke said that the initiative is aimed at easing the people’s burden in tackling the cost of living.

This move may result in lesser revenue for KTM by RM43million, and the difference would be borne by the Railway Asset Corporation.
“We hope the discount will encourage the public to use public transport like the KTM Komuter service,” he said after chairing the ministry’s post Cabinet meeting yesterday.
The station lines offering the discounts include Padang Rengas to Butterworth, Butterworth to Padang Besar, Port Klang to Tanjung Malim, Seremban to Batu Caves and Sugai Gadut to Tampin.
Commuters can enjoy this amazing discount for a year and it will be reviewed after that.
