The worrier is the one that will check the safety bars by shaking them vigorously to ensure they’re secure, read every caution notice, and freak out at the slightest sound. We get it, you’re riding on a car with no roof, on a strip of metal as its track, hundreds of metres above ground, so the natural thing to do is to worry. But theme parks don’t allow people on rides without first certifying it is safe and adhering to a strict maintenance schedule.

But motion sickness does affect some people, and being on a rollercoaster either as the person with motion sickness or as someone in the vicinity of another person about to purge is a bad idea.
