The 5 Types Of People You’ll No Doubt Find On A Rollercoaster Ride

What a wild ride!

There is literally nothing to not like about theme parks. They are lively and energetic, fun for both adults and children, and have a tonne of fun games and rides all in one place! Chief of them all, the rollercoaster! No theme park is complete without a roller coaster.

Sure, they can look like a menacing maze of steel beams and pillars, and the thought of hitting those sharp twists and turns can be nerve-wrecking, but get over that initial anxiety and it’s just nothing but fun times with friends, family, and these 5 types of people you’ll no doubt find on a rollercoaster ride…

#1 The screamer

Ah, the classic screamer. Be it out of fear or out of excitement, the screamer will always find a reason to hit those high notes. The really committed ones will even try to scream over the sound of wind, metal squeaking, and other screamers. You gotta have screamers—it’s all part of the fun of being on a rollercoaster.

#2 The worrier

The worrier is the one that will check the safety bars by shaking them vigorously to ensure they’re secure, read every caution notice, and freak out at the slightest sound. We get it, you’re riding on a car with no roof, on a strip of metal as its track, hundreds of metres above ground, so the natural thing to do is to worry. But theme parks don’t allow people on rides without first certifying it is safe and adhering to a strict maintenance schedule.

#3 The one about to be sick

The same way nobody would intentionally sneeze at someone, we like to think nobody would intentionally puke at someone. But motion sickness does affect some people, and being on a rollercoaster either as the person with motion sickness or as someone in the vicinity of another person about to purge is a bad idea. You’ve been warned.

#4 The one brimming with excitement

Remember how we said the rollercoaster is a menacing maze of steel beams and pillars? Well, just take one look at this group of people, and the cheerful looks on their face is enough to reassure you that perhaps rollercoasters aren’t as scary as they initially seem. They’re also the one you’re likely to find back in the line for another round.

#5 The silent one

The complete opposite of the screamers are the silent ones. Are they afraid? Are they excited? Do they secretly wish they were at home instead? Who knows. Not only are they quiet, they also have no facial expressions that can help you figure out how they’re feeling about the ride. Although, it’s safe to assume they’re having fun. Why else would they be on the ride, right?

So, which one of the 5 are you? You should find out at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort’s latest ride that combines rollercoaster thrills with virtual reality (VR) technology! Called The Great LEGO Race, this new never-before-seen VR Coaster adventure brings to life an experience that adds characters, storytelling, action, and humour in a uniquely LEGO environment.
