Oranges are almost always associated with Chinese New Year. Because it has been emphasized so much, ‘team cookies and pastries’ gets thrown off the limelight most of the time.

The sesame seeds, the green bean paste and the smell of brown sugar… yums! Some people may not like the fact that it is fried, but hey, it’s the season to celebrate! A few extra calories won’t hurt.
2. Peanut cookies

If you’ve not waited eagerly as a kid to ‘paint’ that cookie that smells so good with some egg-yolk on top, we’re not including you in our ‘we-had-a-cool-childhood’ team!
3. Nian Gao (Glutinous Rice Cake)

This glutinous rice cake contains all forms of goodness! Milk, sugar, dates, and sesame seeds. We’re already craving for it!
4. Love letters

No, not literally. Love letters are served in almost every open house and we’re here thinking why are oranges talked about more? Bring us those love letters, and watch us eat, not ‘read’! *winks*
