Brothers are annoying most of the time, but stories like this make us so grateful to have them in our lives. Earlier this year, we heard a story of a boy who saved his sister from a dog attack.

Now, we have another hero who didn’t think twice to jump into his sister’s room through a window to rescue her from a fire!

The 7-year-old boy from Tennessee was having just another night with his family when Nicole, his mother, woke up to the smell of smoke. Their home was up in flames within minutes and there was no time to think about what to do. The parents, Chris and Nicole, managed to get Eli and Elijah out of the house.

However, 22-month-old Erin Davidson was trapped in her crib and there was no way of rescuing her as her room was surrounded by fire.

Chris Davidson said that he later picked up Eli, who went through the window and was able to grab her from her crib just in time.

“We couldn’t be more proud of Eli. He did something a grown man wouldn’t do,” he added.

By the time the firefighters arrived at the scene, their house was already engulfed in flames.

Eli said that he did it even though he was scared as he didn’t want his sister to die.

Awww, we’re so proud of you Eli! We hope things get better for them from here on out.
