If you didn’t know how to swim and you fell into water, what would you do? We’d probably panic!

But this old woman in China kept calm until help arrived after she accidentally fell into a river.

On November 8th, 2020, while 87-year-old Xie was taking a walk alongside the river, she ate her mooncake she had brought along with her.

When she wanted to rinse her hands by the river, she lost balance and fell in it.

Yes, she doesn’t know how to swim and yes ‘she tried to scream…’ and her head wasn’t under water. [Song-reference intended]

She struggled at first and when she finally lost all her energy, she decided to lie on her back, with her arms folded on top of her. She stayed afloat this way for some time until the public who witnessed the incident called for help to rescue the elderly lady.

Even though the river was calm, it was still dangerous as she was at risk of being swept away by the current that could have come at any moment.

But we’re glad it didn’t and that she’s safe and sound now.
