U.S newspaper publication, the New York Times (NYT) reported that the musical will be tackling several “hot-button issues”.
The musical will be written by Oscar winner Brooke Busey-Maurio, who also wrote the critically acclaimed movie Juno, which starred Ellen Page in 2007.
It will also be competing against some of Broadway’s best, including the worldwide-sensationHamilton, the timeless Phantom of the Opera, and several others.
