Being Judged For Not Wanting Kids? Men List Ways To Deal With It!

Save this... might come in handy later.

“Eh, when are you getting married?”

“No kids yet?”

“Stopping with one, don’t want more kids?”

These might all sound very familiar, especially if you are in your 20s or married. We’re all entitled to our own opinions but sometimes, living under societal pressure can be a little stressful. So, these men list some tried-and-tested ways they deal with similar questions from their relatives in an awesome Reddit thread.

Here is what you can say to your relatives the next time they ask “when are you planning to have kids?”

Be sarcastic

Saying things like “but look, I can take a break whenever I want to, but you can only take a break when your kids sleep” can really make someone think twice before judging you for not having kids again.

“We are trying”

Just saying what would make them happy. They want you to try? Just tell them you’re trying (even if you’re not).

Giving practical insights

This is for the ones who have the energy to sit and explain why you really don’t want a kid (right now). Tell them about your financial situation, tell them about your sleep schedule, just tell them your truth!

Reverse psychology

Instead of saying “I don’t want kids”, say “I am not ready to be a parent”. Your relatives probably didn’t expect this answer coming... It would take them at least a few minutes to process that. So, run!

Blame “Time”

Time will heal, time will tell… It takes time, we need time, the time’s not right… Come on, you get the picture.

We hope this helps!
