We’re not sure if this means the end of adventures for Siti Halijah Abd Rahim, but the female adventurer was left with a broken back after a rope swing snapped during her fun time with family in Kuala Kubu Baru.

The 33 year-old suffered a spinal fracture and has since undergone a spinal surgery.

Siti was there for a weekend of adventure with her family. At the time the accident happened, her brother, Mohamad Yakub, 31 was waiting for her by the river only to hear a loud splash in the water. It’s believed that she lost balance when the cable failed and smashed into the rocks before falling into the river. All her family could do was watch the unexpected tragedy.

She was then rushed to the hospital and the rest is history.

They added that they completely accept what has happened as a mishap and blame no one involved in the process. The rope swing operator was said to have attended to the family’s needs and has taken full responsibility for what had happened.

We’re glad that Siti survived this and we hope she comes back stronger.
