The COVID-19 quarantine centre at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) has been receiving a lot of negative comments lately on social media about how bad the place was.
However, some COVID-19 patients like Muhamad Afifie recently shared his experience on Twitter, reassuring netizens that there’s nothing to be worried about, clarifying that the environment there isn’t as bad as some are making it out to be.
Recently, a few videos went viral of COVID-19 patients currently undergoing treatment at MAEPS, coming up with creative ways to entertain themselves during their 10-day quarantine period.
TikTok user @syhdysra, whose boyfriend is currently quarantined at MAEPS, shared a light-hearted clip of him and his bunkmates hosting a “fashion show”.
The caption reads: “Can’t believe this is my boyfriend’s activity while quarantining.”
In another video, shared by user @fakh__, we can see that the patients were practicing their runway walk, wearing the pink and green garb provided to the MAEPS patients, with their own little stylish twist!
Looking pretty good, boys.
Syahida (@syhdysra) also shared another TikTok video of the patients passing their time playing with cards, celebrating birthdays, and doing group exercises with the healthcare workers separated from them by a booth with plastic sheets.
Of course, Malaysians are loving how they are instilling positivity inside the quarantine centre, because it must be hard to be kept inside a place with total strangers for over 10 days.
Get well soon!
