Dom's family is expanding again! Captain Marvel star Brie Larson is officially swapping her superhero costume for a fast car, as it has been confirmed that the actress is joining Fast & Furious 10.

Fast & Furious star Vin Diesel announced on Instagram that Brie Larson would be joining Fast family though details on the exact nature of her role remains unclear. There's no doubt that Vin is excited to have the Captain Marvel star on board for the next film in the long-running franchise and we are too!
"Yeah yeah yeah…you see this angel over my shoulder cracking me up, you say to yourself ‘that's captain Marvel’. Clearly there is love and laughter in this image," Vin captioned his Instagram post.
"What you don't see however, is the character you will be introduced to in Fast 10. You have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology. Beyond her beauty, her intellect… her Oscar, haha is this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for. Welcome to the FAMILY Brie."

The Captain Marvel star, who won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in 2015’s Room isn’t the first Oscar-winning actress to grace a Fast and Furious film. Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren appeared in Fate of the Furious and F9, respectively.

Brie’s casting announcement comes one month after it was revealed that Jason Momoa will be playing the villain in the 10th Fast and the Furious installment.
The 32-year-old actress will not, however, be starring alongside Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, as the star who plays Luke Hobbs recently declined Vin’s invitation to rejoin the series after a feud began between the two in 2016.
Fast & Furious 10 will serve as the first half of a two-part finale for the series, and it is set to release into theaters on May 19, 2023.
