What’s the most you’d do if you suddenly see a cockroach in your house? Kill it? Probably scream a little and create a scene first, and then yes… we’d kill it too.
However, a couple in India has allegedly moved into 18 homes in three years because the wife has an intense phobia of cockroaches.

Sources say that the woman would scream for help repeatedly whenever she saw a cockroach. There was even once where she refused to enter the kitchen after spotting the insect there.
Hence, she has insisted on shifting houses every time she sees a cockroach in her house. They first moved in in 2018, after their wedding in 2017.
Psychiatric help has been sought but to no avail. The wife also claimed that she has tried her best to face her fears but the husband apparently doesn’t understand how she feels. It was also reported that she refuses to take medication.
After the pretty frustrating turn of events, the husband has asked for a divorce.
Fear of cockroaches is known as katsaridaphobia. It could stem from childhood experiences, which is often how phobias develop.
Do you know anyone who has a phobia of cockroaches? We hope she finds a comfortable home soon.
