Facebook has set up a section for you to pay tribute to your deceased loved ones, on special memorialized accounts.
Users now have a proper platform to post pictures and messages, to mourn and pay respect to deceased users.

The implementation of the Tributes section will see these messages appear on a separate section from the deceased’s timeline.

That’s not the only news! Facebook is also changing how Legacy Contacts can interact and manage the Tribute section.
The Legacy Contact allows the chosen contact to see who tagged you when you’re gone and if they want to remove it. They’ll also be given the option to turn the tribute post on/off, and they could also turn off the timeline review for Tribute posts.

These chosen users however will not be able to log into the main account, read messages and add or remove friends.
If you wish to set up your legacy contact right away, here’s how you can do it!
- Click on settings
- Manage account
- Click on the option “add a friend as a legacy contact”.
If you can’t find it yet, you probably will soon! Facebook is still working on bringing this feature to all the memorialized accounts.
What do you think about this feature?
