The fight against COVID-19 is still ongoing in many countries and while frontliners are doing all they can to treat patients and keep people safe, some definitely go the extra mile to put a smile on our faces.
Dr. Mohamed Salah Siala, a doctor in a Tunisian hospital, used his music skills to boost the morale of his patients in the COVID-19 ward.

The 25 year-old working at Hedi Chaker Hospital decided to play his violin in front of them because he thought they could do with some entertainment and attention.
Patients were immediately smiling, clapping and some even caught the ‘concert’ feels.
One of the patients said that music contributes to the patient’s feeling of joy and it also aids to forget their troubles for a bit.
So, whenever he gets the time, Dr Salah would enthusiastically play the violin for his patients. He mentioned that his goal is to use music to help them from feeling less lonely.
His deed not only cheers up the patients, but also the health workers who have been under pressure in the last few months because of the increasing number of positive cases.
However, we’re glad to know that the country is now seeing a decline in its COVID-19 cases. It recently recorded one of the lowest rates of infections in several weeks. 725 new cases were reported last Thursday in the population of almost 12 million! They had about 4,000 cases in mid-January.
Now that’s amazing progress!

We hope the soulful music treatment works well for the Dr Salah’s patients and that they all recover soon. #StaySafe
