Everybody loves a good reunion but some are just clearly meant to be! A heartfelt social media post has gone viral recently when a dog reunited with its owner five years after it went missing!
The dog was apparently stolen a few years ago, leaving the family to assume that they would not be able to meet their dog ever again. However, destiny had other plans for them.
@GoodNewsMovement shared the touching video on Twitter that shows a woman running towards a dog in what looks like a shelter home. She stood at the gate as the dog ran to her.
The dog immediately recognised its owner who got down and started hugging the dog that kept jumping with joy as if unable to control its excitement of meeting its human after so many years. The clip ends with the pooch lying on its back asking for some belly rubs and its humans showering it with love. Awww!

There is a chance that besides melting your heart into a puddle, the video will leave you teary-eyed too.
Netizens loved the touching moment, which left them teary-eyed. Social media users also expressed their sentiments in the comments section with one user writing, "The loving breed...like all dog breeds." Another commented, "Lovely.."
Now there are various kinds of animal videos that are often shared online. However, videos that showcase the bond of love that a pet parent and their fur baby share usually leaves us emotional. We all love a happy ending, and you can’t get much better than that!
