Ever since the start of the pandemic, every moment we head out, we just have to brace ourselves for all the MySejahtera check ins and temperature checks anywhere and everywhere. It can be really tiring but it is nevertheless necessary. However, when the temperature machine doesn’t work, it can be both tiring and annoying at once.

An elderly man in Singapore threw a fit at a staff in a shopping centre when he wasn’t allowed to enter as the temperature scanner failed to register his body temperature.

The incident that happened last week was recently shared on a Facebook page and well, he was pretty frustrated with the whole system we can say.

One of the security guards could also be heard exchanging vulgarities at each other. After some heated arguments, the man was asked to place his hand in front of the scanner and it managed to record his temperature, finally granting him entry to the premise.

When the person filming said that he was going to call the police, the old man simply said, “I’m going to cut my hair. Come and find me later.”

Oooo… savage.

Sources said that the elderly man was unable to scan the SafeEntry QR code and refused to write down his details. While people shared the video on the internet, some netizens understood how hard it must have been for the old man. They were sympathetic towards his trouble as he could have been frustrated with the system simply because he might not know how it works.

Well, we don’t know who’s in the wrong, but the next time we see elderly people struggling with QR codes or temperature screening, let’s offer a helping hand… of course, from a distance.

We are all in this together and we hope the uncle’s haircut was worth the scene.
