Admit it, we’ve all stalked our own profiles to see what it looks like to other people, especially our crush. The moment we get a friend request from them, one behaviour we all probably share is how we frantically look for all the unflattering photos, all the ‘out of the world’ statuses we shared when we were 15 to be made private just so that we can always show our best and matured selves on social media.

... and let's not forget after every break up, every bad moment in our lives, the process of going through the social media to delete the proof of a life we no longer want is tiring.

Now, Facebook (finally) heard us and saw our struggles, which is why the social media platform is introducing a new tool to help users delete or archive old embarrassing posts in bulk!

The new feature called ‘Manage Activity’ allows us to select our posts in bulk, to either delete or archive them. If you archive the posts, it would be similar to how you archive photos on Instagram. The feature will be rolled out more broadly in the coming few weeks.

“Whether you’re entering the job market after college or moving on from an old relationship, we know things can change in people’s lives, and we want to make it easy for you to curate your presence on Facebook to more accurately reflect who you are today,” Facebook wrote in the announcement of the feature.

We will also be able to search for the post using filters like year and date instead of having to scroll through years and years of old posts.

... and guess what? Deleted photos will still be there for 30 days before being permanently deleted so if you accidentally deleted some photos, the good news is that you can still restore them!

Have you tried it? Go and get it done and thank us later! Thank you, Facebook!
