We all know how annoying it is to see people raging about something that they should have talked about months, or even years ago. But sometimes, we fall into the same trap, mostly because we see the news way later than everyone else does.

What’s worse? Having people bombarding the comment section saying that it’s an old piece and that we’ve got to move on, or ‘check our sources’. We mean… you could’ve DM-ed us. But it’s alright, Facebook wants to help us out to stay ‘woke’ with the current issues so THANK YOU, Facebook!

Recently, the social media platform announced that it will start showing a notification screen when you’re about to share an article. The screen will let users know if they’re sharing an article that’s more than 90 days old.

Facebook added this feature as people, especially news publishers, were concerned about how older stories being shared on social sites can be misconstrued.

But you know, if you still find certain articles relevant, you can always hit ‘continue’ and move on with life.

This feature is now being rolled out globally. So, check your Facebook page- do you already have this feature?
