It’s the ‘End Of Line’ for the influential, virtually anonymous French electronic-music duo, Daft Punk! They announced their split through their latest YouTube video called “Epilogue”. Their publicists confirmed the breakup and added that there would be no further comment at the moment.
Ah man, *heartbreak*
Since there’ll be no more new music from these two Grammy award winning artists, let’s take a trip down memory lane...

Disinterested in fame, the group, founded by former Indie-rock bandmates Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter in Paris way back in 1993 and went on to 6 Grammy Awards, including Album Of The Year for “Random Access Memories” in 2014.
They’ve collaborated with many artists from Giorgio Moroder to the Weeknd, and have influenced countless producers, D.J.s, rappers and pop stars with their unique blend of house, techno, pop, disco and rock.

Since the late 1990s, Daft Punk has always presented itself as ‘otherworldly’, not interested in being trapped in fame, which is why they’re always seen donning robot helmets that became their trademark with Thomas usually in silver and Guy in gold.
They rarely speak, so even when they won the award for “Random Access Memories”, the musicians Paul Williams and Nile Rodgers, who worked on the album spoke on their behalf.
Here’s the list of Daft Punk’s albums:
1997 - Homework
2001 - Discovery
2001 - Alive 1997
2003 - Daft Club
2005 - Human After All
2007 - Alive 2007
2010 - Tron: Legacy
2013 - Random Access Memories
We’re so going to miss this duo! How about you?
