Good news DC fans! Looks like Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins have an exciting update on Wonder Woman 3!

The 36-year-old star, who has played Diana Prince and her superhero alter ego in 2017's Wonder Woman and last year's sequel Wonder Woman 1984, as well as Justice League  - has revealed that all the cogs are in motion to get the third flick released.

In a recent interview with Forbes, the actress shared a brief update on the production of Wonder Woman 3.

"We're talking! We're actually in the mix of working on the script and getting the third one made, so it's all wheels are working and turning and I'm super, super excited for the fans to come and watch Wonder Woman 3 once it's made." she said.

Director of the trilogy, Patty Jenkins, gushed that the actress "can't wait to get the next movie out".

We’re pretty excited for the sequel too, Gal!

Wonder Woman 3 was officially announced in 2020 just days after Wonder Woman 1984 was released. Previously, the director stated that she originally had clear plans for where she wanted the sequel to go, but the director later paused writing during the pandemic to absorb the newer state of the world, possibly impacting the direction of Wonder Woman 3's plot.

Lynda Carter, the actress who played Wonder Woman in the original 1970s television series has also been confirmed to return to the franchise as Asteria after appearing briefly at the end of Wonder Woman 1984.

At present, there is no official release date for the DC flick. We can only presume what the plot for Wonder Woman 3 is going to be. Is it gonna be theatrical? A little bit of mystery, perhaps? Who knows! We’re happy that the sequel is already in the works!

Are you excited for Wonder Woman 3? What do you think the plot is going to be? Let us know in the comments.
