Staying home, especially if you’re alone for a long time, can cause unnecessary worry and anxiety. If you’re feeling anxious or overwhelmed, that’s totally normal. However, you should be aware of some triggers that may take your anxiety to a panic attack if you disregard the signals your body gives you.
In case you didn’t know, panic attacks are more intense than anxiety attacks. According to Medical News Today, they also come without a warning. On the other hand, anxiety is usually associated with a trigger. So, if you ignore your anxiety triggers, it may lead to panic attacks in the long term.

Here are some triggers for you to look out for:
Insomnia
Bright fluorescent lights
Stress or trauma you aren’t addressing
Food sensitivities - if certain food makes you gag for no reason, you might want to treat that or stay away from that particular food for some time, until you feel better again.
Excessive sugar intake - If you’re someone who consumes too much sugar when you’re anxious, you might want to distract yourself from sweet foods a little. It’s very unhealthy.
Anticipation - any kind of anticipation. If you can’t stop thinking about it, try meditation or yoga to divert your mind.
Working without giving yourself a break - We all need a break!
Shortness of breath or dizziness - When you’re experiencing shortness of breath, try to be in a wide or open space, and take deep breaths. Step outside your house!
If you have any of these triggers or symptoms, try to address them and work on making yourself feel better. If you’re unable to do it all alone, seek help. Be kind to yourself.
