Now that Australia is recovering from the whole bushfire incident, it doesn’t mean the animals in the wild are ‘recovering’ as well.
The New South Wales government was thoughtful enough to commission a service title “Operation Rock Wallaby” to feed hungry wildlife stranded amid the Australian bushfire crisis.

So far, aircrafts have been sent to drop more than 2,200 kg of fresh vegetables to feed the brush-tailed rock wallabies and to help them survive through the drought.
The rock wallabies were already an ‘at risk’ species as a result of habitat destruction, so to see this sort of initiative really is heart-warming.

Matt Kean, the environment minister for New South Wales said that they would also keep an eye on the rock wallabies to check on their progress by setting up monitor-cameras.

This initiative was a step that came after the World Wildlife Fund estimated around 1.25 billion animals have died, both directly and indirectly from the bushfires.

We do hope that the wildlife survives and the crisis is resolved soon!
