The Goal Of The Century
Maradona’s quick move in Mexico in 1986 ended England’s World Cup campaign and secured him the position as the world’s best footballer. The goal trumps others of its type for the efficiency of its execution. It also came minutes after his notorious ‘Hand Of God’ goal.

The ‘Divine free-kick’
Getting this particular nickname in Italy, Maradona’s iconic winning goal for Napoli in November 1985 against Michel Platini’s Juventus would forever remain in fans’ hearts. He scored a goal despite standing over an indirect free-kick inside the penalty area, asking the midfielder to roll him the ball for a shot, well aware of the closeness of the Juventus Wall.
He wrote, “With this goal, I conquered the hearts of Neapolitans.”

‘El Pibe’
This victory came with a 5-0 win in Serie A champions Hellas Verona in October 1985. Collecting a long pass, Maradona spun around and saw future teammate Giulian Giuliani positioned just too far to the left, which came in favour of his brilliant looping shot towards the goal that gently faded off the left post.
