Is work stressing you out? Are you going through a break up and need to get away?

Do you need a change of scenery—but at the same time you feel reluctant to go on a trip because you don’t want to leave home for too long?

Or do you just want a breather from the haze?

We’ve got some great recommendations for your short trip—and they’re only 2 to 5 hours away via AirAsia! Check out these places, and start planning your itinerary:

#1 Hanoi, Vietnam

Make your way to Hanoi around September-November and March-April and you’ll experience pleasant and mild temperatures! Enjoy a delicious cup of coffee—or more—and visit some historical spots before making your way out of the city.

#2 Sapa, Vietnam

Perfect for those who love nature and want to be away from the city crowds. This small, mountain farm is located close to the Chinese border 350km from Hanoi, making it easily accessible. You’ll enjoy your forest treks, views of rice paddies and fresh air.

#3 Halong Bay, Vietnam

Halong Bay was recognised as a World Heritage Site and it comes as no surprise as the beauty of its tiny islets and limestone pillars is simply breath taking. Like Sapa Valley, it’s near to the city of Hanoi—you can easily make a day trip, though we’d definitely recommend you stay the night to fully appreciate your time there.

#4 Vientiane, Laos

The town of Vientiane is perfect who want to have a slower, peaceful pace with their life. Similar to Luang Prabang, there are centuries-old Buddhist temples to be explored. You can also get plenty of shopping done at the markets next to the Mekong River.

#5 Luang Prabang, Laos

Luang Prabang is also known as the ‘Jewel in Laos’ Crown’, and we’re not surprised. Marvel at the architecture of temples—which are easily reached on foot. You can also go out of the town centre to explore lush jungles and hiking trails.

#6 Tonle Sap, Cambodia

If you find yourself in Phnom Penh, a must-visit there is the Tonle Sap Lake, which is also the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. It’s famous for its local communities and their floating villages.

Now, go apply your annual leave and have a happy holiday!
