Okay, we’ve got to admit that the biggest lie we ever told to take leave was that we had a stomach ache. However, this man deserves an award for thinking of a very unique way to get a long break from work. A Taiwanese man married his wife (the same woman) four times just to get off from work!
According to Taiwan’s labour laws, anyone who’s getting married gets an 8-day paid leave from work. Hence, the man who works as a clerk at a bank divorced his wife and remarried her four times, an accumulation of whis is 32 days!

Well, everything has to come to an end, right? The authorities found out his intentions and denied him any more paid leave but we’re looking at one persistent man. He lodged a complaint against his employer at the Taipei City Labour Bureau and accused the bank for “breaking the law”.
Despite his misusing the Labour Law, the company was fined over RM2,000 for violating it. One lucky man he is.
