Thinking about quitting your job while sitting at your desk in the office is a common scenario. Constantly whining about every extra minute you spend at work is a common scenario. Even the wishful thinking of getting paid WITHOUT doing any work is also a common scenario. However, actually pulling it off is NOT.
One man in Italy lived the life we all crave for on some days for 15 years! The hospital employee has been accused of skipping work for 15 years while still being paid.

Salvatore Scumace allegedly stopped coming to work since 2005 but he was paid a total of 5,38,000 euros (over RM2 mil) in that duration.
It was reported that the man along with his six managers are being investigated for fraud, abuse of office and extortion. The higher authorities of the hospital have been accused of helping him and not taking any action against him.
The 67-year-old worker is also accused of threatening the hospital’s former director to stop her from reporting him.
It’s still surprising that neither human resources nor the head of the hospital noticed his absence. The fraud came to light after the police suspected there was something wrong in the Italian public sector and started an in-depth investigation.
Best 15 years of his life, but he’ll soon have to pay the price, perhaps. Who do you think is at fault?
