Man Sued Neighbour For Harassing Him With Electromagnetic Waves From Her “WiFi Devices”.

Is this even a thing?!

Now that you’ve gotten past the headline, prepare to have your mind blown. Turns out there really is a condition for something similar to this, and it’s called electro hypersensitivity (EHS), where a person experiences physical or psychological symptoms due to exposure to electromagnetic fields. We say similar because unlike this story, the condition has no relation to electromagnetic waves.

Nevertheless this didn’t deter a man in Singapore from suing his neighbour for harassing him with the extra WiFi devices she owns.

Mr. Yan alleged that his neighbour, who lives two stories below his condominium unit, had caused him “physical and mental torment” through the electromagnetic waves from her house.

He goes on to claim that Tan, the neighbour had installed a WiFi jammer and multiple WiFi devices in her home, and wished for her to stop using them.

When brought to court, Tan’s lawyer refuted the claims saying that there was no evidence of “threatening” that occurred and that it was not enough to warrant a charge of “unlawful stalking” under Protection From Harassment Act (POHA).

Also, how did Yan know that waves came from Tan’s house particularly?

Yan had allegedly been diagnosed with EHS in the past by a French doctor but further investigations found out that the French doctor had no expertise in the neurology nor electromagnetic radiation department. Plot twist after plot twist…

Installing WiFi jammers is not considered illegal in Singapore so we guess Yan is on the losing end in this matter.

Hopefully the feud ends with a peaceful resolution. Meanwhile, we’ll continue our struggle to process this story.
