After the first dreadful incident at the Penang bridge just a few days ago, another video of a man jumping off the second bridge went viral on social media yesterday.

The footage shows a man waving goodbye, before jumping off the Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah at around 8.30 am yesterday morning (January 22nd).

The 33-year-old business-planning executive, who recorded himself in the act, was thankfully saved by a nearby fisherman.

District Police Chief Superintendent A.A. Anbalagan said that the victim was taken to the Marine base in Batu Uban and was then sent to the Penang Hospital for treatment.

Friends and family members later revealed that the man, who suffered from depression, just had an argument with his spouse who also demanded for a divorce.

Investigations into the incident are still ongoing.

We are glad he’s stable now, and we hope he gets all the love and support he needs! If you’re ever feeling down or depressed, please reach out to a loved one. You’re never alone!
