If you're thinking of travelling anytime soon, we've got a unique location that you might want to visit! The Popcorn Beach!

Yes, you read that right. Popcorn beach. But, before you start getting ideas of munching on them, you might want to hold back.

The second largest of Spain's Canary Islands, Fuerteventura is mostly known for its white sandy beaches. Very few people know about that this island is also a home to one of the world's most stunning attraction, the Popcorn Beach.

This beach genuinely looks like it's covered by millions of freshly popped popcorn! And before you try to taste them, it's important to note that the sand isn't actually real popcorn.

In fact, the "popcorn" are actually stony pieces of coral, shaped like popcorn by the elements!

The unique beach is located at the end of a dirt track, north west of Corralejo. Although stunning to look at, the Popcorn Beach is not really known as one of Fuerteventura's must-visit places for swimming and sunbathing. As the "popcorn" is actually coral, it's not as comfortable as sand.

Thanks to Instagram, Popcorn Beach has gained popularity around the world. Obviously, the beach is totally Insta-worthy with its beautiful popcorn-like sand. The beach has been around for as long as the locals can remember but has only recently garnered tourist attraction.

We can see why though. The beach looks stunning! Need more proof?
