If you heard about the blunder last week, well, you just need to know that CNN has removed the offending post and have since apologised for incurring the wrath of netizens.

If you don’t know what’s going on yet, you’ve come to the right place. Here’s what happened.

In an article posted on October 7, a prominent news portal mistakenly wrote that Singapore is “not a country”. Of course, Singaporeans were… mad.

They listed down countries with lower COVID-19 cases compared to the U.S. White House and this mistake happened. The Twitterverse was quick to react (as usual) and the rest is history. Also, if you noticed the typo for Papua* New Guinea, let’s just ignore it and focus on the Singapore issue for this article, ok?

The post has since been removed nd they have published a statement on their website apologizing for their mistake.

So, let’s forgive and forget, shall we?
