Waking up in the morning knowing you have to be at work is difficult. It’s even more difficult when you don’t have coffee in your system to help you kickstart the day. But, if you are the lucky few who happens to work in and around Mid Valley Megamall then you’ll have a new place to get your dose of sweet, sweet caffeine.
The brand new café goes by the name Hoshino Coffee, and after opening more than 180 outlets in Japan, it has made it to our shores. The café occupies the space where Tim Ho Wan used to be and sports a lavish exterior and a dining area furnished with leather seats that screams oooh so fancy!
Then there’s the hand-dripped coffee that defines this place. A rich, full-bodied blend made from specialty-grade Arabica beans selected by Coffee Maestro, Masahiro Kanno (he is a pretty big deal in the world of coffee), that is served in a pre-heated cup (if ordered hot) or served in a copper mug (if ordered with ice).
If a meal is what you’re after, then this establishment also has hot meals on the menu such as their signature spaghetti with eggplant, chicken bacon, and sausage.
Finally, to cleanse the palate, Hoshino Coffee also offers a variety of desserts, most notable of which are their thick, fluffy pancakes, and the matcha soufflé.
