The last time we saw Anne play Princess Mia was 15 years ago but the Princess Diaries films remain iconic to this day!
Answering a fan’s question on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Anne confirmed that Princess Diaries 3 is in the works!

“There is a script for the third movie. There is a script,” she said.
She added that our beloved Dame Julie Andrews is also interested to take on the crown as Queen Clarisse Renaldi once again.

“I want to do it. Julie wants to do it. Debra Martin Chase, our producer, wants to do it. We all really want it to happen,” she continued.
Julie herself spoke to BuzzFeed previously and said, “[Anne’s] very keen to do it. I would very willingly and happily do it.”

However, production has not yet begun on the third movie. According to Anne:
“It’s just, we don’t want to unless it’s perfect because we love it just as much as you guys love it. It’s as important to us as it is to you, and we don’t want to deliver anything until it’s ready, but we’re working on it.”
