Acne can be really annoying, especially when they leave scars. The pores in your skin that get clogged with oil and dead skin cells can cause your acne to flare up. Also, now that we’re wearing face masks most of the time, it can cause irritation to the skin and eventually cause mask acne.

Some other factors that may contribute to this condition are your genetics, diet, stress, hormonal imbalance and also infections.

However, before you go and spend your bucks on medical treatments, try these simple home remedies that might give you amazing results and skin!

Here’s a few face masks our friends at MIX have tried!

1. Green Tea Mask

Green tea is high in antioxidants. While it promotes good health, it can also reduce your acne. Boil some green tea and let it cool down. Once it cools down, you can use a cotton ball to dip into the tea and massage it onto your face. Rinse your face once it dries.

2. Mung Bean Mask

Mung beans help in soothing acne and other skin problems. Mix finely blended mung bean with yogurt in a small bowl. Then, apply the paste onto your face. Let it cool for about 15 minutes before washing your face.

3. Honey Mask

Honey has natural antibacterial qualities so it soothes your skin while helping your face glow. Just apply honey on your face and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Then, wash it off.

4. Aloe Vera Mask

We guess many of you already know this: aloe vera helps to control breakouts. It is said to boost blood flow and kill harmful bacteria on your skin. You can apply aloe vera gel on your face and leave it overnight.

We hope one of these masks would work for you in case you’re suffering from breakouts. Also, DO NOT touch your pimples because you’re only going to make it worse!

Here’s a quick write-up on why you shouldn’t squeeze your pimples.
