Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) is officially becoming Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) on October 20 onwards.
Its president, Noraini Roslan said the Subang Jaya had been a municipality for 22 years since 1997, after Petaling District was upgraded.
In a board meeting, she recently announced that MPSJ has received the Selangor Sultan’s consent for the change and that several new guidelines are in line with the government’s decision to move into the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) until August 31, 2020.
All of its annual general meetings and committee meetings can be held but by following the SOPs set.
Noraini added that officers from the Commissioner of Buildings would monitor the meetings.
Almost all facilities are open and soon to be open by July 1, 2020 and the president reminded people again to abide by the SOPs and practise social distancing.
