As the world of Game of Thrones has always been wrapped around in secrecy, there’s not much that’s known about the upcoming series. Besides the new cast addition, we only know that the prequel is set long before the events in Game of Thrones.
A logline reported by The Hollywood Reporter reads: “Only one thing is for sure: From the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the White Walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend—it’s not the story we think we know.”
SJ Clarkson (Orang is the New Black) has signed on to direct the pilot episode of the upcoming series. Jane Goldman, who wrote the pilot script and collaborated with GoT author - George RR Martin, on the story; will serve as showrunner for the prequel.
