We are really what we set our minds to.

This video that went viral a while ago resurfaced on the internet again after The Rock posted it on his Instagram page.

I love every single thing about this video - a moment that changed this little boy’s life forever. 🙏🏾💪🏾🖤 From his first attempt to his last, you can literally see the psychological shift in this little boy’s mindset. Sensei @gianinibjjstallion never took his eyes off the boy and made sure the boy heard every word he was telling him. Then this entire dojo of kids chanting, “beat it” to support and lift his spirits. But here’s the best thing about all of this - with all this beautiful support and love surrounding him - the final decision to break the board, came from the little boy. He decided it was time - and he did it. I don’t know who you are son, but I sure am proud of you too. Goes to show to show you can do anything, when you put your mind to it. I’m so pumped after watching this, I’m going in for workout #2 and when I’m done I’m gonna attempt to put my foot thru an oak tree🦶🏾🌳 Then I’ll be calling 911 😂 #greatjobkid 💪🏾

The little boy who was at first struggling to break a cardboard plank in a Karate class finally did it because he never gave up.

With the support from his friends and his very determined teacher, the boy who was in tears karate-kicked the board in the end and everyone’s reaction was just priceless.

Dwayne said in his caption: “But here’s the best thing about all of this - with all this beautiful support and love surrounding him - the final decision to break the board, came from the little boy.”

We all could use that piece of advice at the moment. We know things have not been in our favour this year, but if we’re going to look at it negatively, ‘negative’ is all we’re going to be feeling. Let’s try to shift our mindset a little, perhaps?

Let’s learn to embrace peace and solitude. Let’s try to adapt with life and the way it’s going because in the end, the decisions we make for ourselves determine how we see life.

When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. Let’s keep going. Good job, boy! We’re proud of you!
