We’ve been hearing “don’t touch” quite a lot recently, especially since the deadly coronavirus invaded the world. However, there are certain things that we still have to touch, like the elevator button.

However, this mall in Bangkok came up with a pretty brilliant idea of installing foot pedals to make sure people don’t have to touch lift buttons! It’s also to help restore normalcy and get shoppers to spend again.

As malls and other businesses slowly begin opening up again due to the more relaxed movement control order, people are heading out to de-stress and this initiative surely serves as a reminder that they have got to be careful at all times, no matter where they are.

Prote Sosothikul, Vice President of the mall's development said that the foot pedals were the easiest way to prevent people from touching objects because eventually we’ll end up touching our faces, eyes and mouth. With this initiative, they have to worry no more… at least inside the lifts.

What other measures can we take to prevent the spread of COVID-19? Share with us!
