Some tenants in Brooklyn don’t have to pay rent this month. Well, that’s one thing less to worry about.
A Brooklyn landlord cancelled April’s rent for hundreds of tenants to make sure they have enough money for their other expenditures, and his kind deed has touched the lives of many.

Mario Salerno, the landlord, posted the announcement on the front doors of some 80 apartment buildings, which we’re sure would’ve brought warm smiles on the tenants faces.

Mario, who has now been hailed a hero, is a highly respected member of the community with one of his tenants describing him as ‘one of the kindest people I’ve ever met’.
We hope this kind gesture by Mario will be an example to many out there that we should there for each other in times of uncertainty. Whenever you can, offer help to the people around you no matter how small because it does go a long way.
