What’s Wrong? Snake Got Your Tongue?

The saying usually goes, “What’s wrong? Cat got your tongue?”, which is used to ask someone why they’re not saying anything.

A woman in Russia recently experienced the saying quite literally, but with a snake!

Over the weekend, she was asleep at her home in Levashi, when a 4-foot-long snake managed to slither into her mouth!

She was of course, brought to hospital after it happened, and doctors had to surgically remove the reptile from her.

A video of the procedure shows a doctor inserting a black tube into the woman’s throat, before the tube hooks on to the snake.

Video discretion is advised:

It’s unclear just how long the snake was inside her, and if it was still alive during the operation.

Russian health authorities have yet to comment on the incident.

While you don’t hear this type of story every day, it’s understood that snakes do sneak into the mouths of people asleep outside, according to the locals.

It seems that there are other people in Russia who have also gone through a similar experience, complaining about “something alive” inside them.

Hope we don’t have to hear about anything like this here!
