The TV personality and wife of singer John Legend took to Twitter and set up a barter deal with homemade banana bread for romaine lettuce — and ‘lettuce’ tell you, it’s brilliant.
She also explained that the trade will be made six feet apart to maintain safety and integrity of her self-isolation effort!
What cracked us up was the fact that when someone who actually had romaine lettuce approached, she had doubts. No funny business, people. Here’s the twitter thread.
After successfully exchanging the bread and lettuce, the two kept their followers informed via social media.
The pair even came with a tape to make sure they’re six feet apart. It’s a win-win situation. And we’re happy to know that they got what they want, while maintaining the social distance.
Barter-deal, new and smarter way to shop for groceries, perhaps? Maybe…not. Because right now, Malaysia…we need to observe the extended MCO, so #StayHome everyone!
