It’s been more than 2 weeks that we’ve stayed at home due to the MCO and boredom can do a lot to people.

While people are doing so many things to keep themselves occupied, this Malaysian grew bean sprouts at home because, why not? Remember how we grew bean sprouts in our science lab during schooldays? Yes, this woman is bringing back the trend!

Mee Ho Chew shared a simple step-by-step guide on how to grow bean sprouts at home! All you need are green beans, an empty bottle and a piece of gauze!

So here’s how you do it. First, you soak the green beans for six hours. Then, pour the water out and place a gauze over the opening of the bottle. Avoid too much of sunlight exposure and water the beans using cold water three times a day, pouring out the excess water afterwards.

Here are the results:

That looks really easy! Well, this can also serve as an edutainment for kids so parents, if you’re thinking of how to keep your kids occupied during the MCO, here’s one way! Have fun!
