There are so many things we try to do in order to save some money and so did this couple. However, the moral of this story has little to do with saving money.

Wanting to buy a house, a couple decided to save some extra bucks. Hence, they came to a decision to cut off all petty expenses, including buying food outside while at work. They came to a unanimous decision, that the wife would cook for him so it would be a 2-in-1 thing; they get to save some money and the man gets to eat healthy.

The wife then started making sandwiches for the husband who was earlier spending over RM 1,000 on lunches. Like every story has a turning point, this story was going perfectly fine until the man’s friend paid a visit.

The friend said that her sandwiches were delicious but a little too pricey. She, slightly confused, tried to piece things together. Then, it made sense why her husband had asked her to pack more sandwiches lately.

The friend later explained that the husband sells sandwiches she makes to his co-workers and then he buys his own lunch with that money. The husband denied it at first but he said there was nothing wrong with it as he wasn’t using the money from their savings.

The angry wife has stopped making lunches for him now. Well, the moral of the story is:

- Be honest with your intentions

- Never bring your friends home

- Appreciate what you have

Which one are you picking? What would you have done if this happened to you?
