Aunty needs to dye hair.

Aunty gets notification that she also needs to get vaccinated.

Aunty does both.

Be like aunty.

An elderly woman recently showed up at a vaccination centre with her hair soaking wet in dye. It turns out that she was called up for her appointment while she was dyeing her hair.

Facebook user, Thain Siew Kim shared her experience of accompanying her mother at the centre. While her mom was doubtful that she could go to the vaccination centre with dye on her hair, Thain’s sister urged their mom to rush there anyways.

According to her sister, “injecting the vaccine into the arm has nothing to do with the head”.. Well, true.

Since her mother is only able to speak Thai, Thain who is an actress, accompanied her throughout the process. Her mom became the centre of attention as the healthcare workers mistook the red dye on her head for blood. They made sure she wasn’t hurt as some of them suspected that she could have been abused.

After clearing their doubts, she was given the jab and people there even asked to take pictures with her.

This story really made our day. It’s also a reminder to all of us to take things seriously. Check your MySejahtera app every now and then so you don’t miss any updates. Let’s be responsible and get ourselves vaccinated!
