Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has given a little hope to Malaysians that things will slowly start to get back to how it used to be, starting September.
With schools expected to reopen in September, he highlighted that all teachers will have at least gotten their first dose of vaccination by then.
As of July 28, a total of 303,682 school teachers (7.35 per cent of the total) have been vaccinated.

A total of 33,633 support staff, including cleaners, security guards, school bus and van drivers and canteen staff have been vaccinated and he added that he and the Education Minister will make sure the process continues for the rest.
Khairy who is also the COVID-19 National immunisation programme (NIP) coordinating minister, announced that 90 per cent of teachers assigned to SPM and STPM students have been vaccinated and the rest of them would be identified and be given vaccination dates soon.
This gives us some kind of hope. Dear parents and teachers, please check your MySejahtera app every now and then to ensure you don’t miss your appointments. Teens are now eligible for vaccination as well, so don’t forget to register them!
