CMCO Starts Today! Do You Know The SOPs?

Please just stay home and try to utilise this time you have with your family wisely.

cmco starts today! do you know the sops?

The government recently announced that the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) will be implemented in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur effective 14 October, which is today. 

Here are the Standard Operating Procedure in KL, Selangor and Putrajaya for the next two weeks. 

  1. All economic sectors are allowed to operate. 

  2. All food related services can operate. 

  3. Take-aways are encouraged and if you must dine-in, only two people are allowed per table. 

  4. Markets can operate from 6am to 2pm while the wholesale markets can be open from 4am to 2pm.

  5. Morning markets will be open from 6am to 12pm while night markets will operate 4pm to 10pm. 

  6. Restaurants, food trucks, food stalls, kiosks and grocery stores are allowed to operate from 6am to 10pm.

  7. Petrol stations will operate from 6am to 10pm while the ones on the highways are allowed to operate 24 hours.

  8. All public transportations will still be available. However, e-hailing services will be limited to only two people per car. 

  9. Aircraft services will remain. 

  10. Clinics and government hospitals are allowed to operate 24 hours.

  11. Pharmacies are allowed to operate from 8am to 10pm.

  12. Solat in mosques are allowed but with only six attendees (including the imam). 

  13. Other religious places are also limited to six people at a time. 

  14. E-sports and outdoor activities are allowed ONLY if there are not more than 10 people around. 

  15. Swimming and any form of sports that don’t practise physical distancing are not allowed. 

  16. Audiences are not allowed at any sports event, and any sports competition that involves bringing in participants from abroad are NOT allowed. 

  17. All social activities like weddings, reunions and the likes are NOT allowed.

  18. You can pass the district ONLY with a pass or a letter from your employer or the authorities as proof. 

  19. Inter-district travel is banned except for emergencies like death or illness. Mom However, a letter from PDRM is needed before you can do so. 

  20. Only 2 people from a family are allowed to get groceries. 

  21. All institutions will be closed but students who need to sit for exams with foreign institutions will be allowed to do so.

  22. All entertainment places such as bars, theme parks and cinemas will be closed.

We can do this, guys! Hang in there. We’ve survived 3 months of MCO. We can survive this as well. We’re all in this together.
