Best known as Lizzie McGuire’s mischievous little brother Matt, Jake Thomas is diving into a bold new chapter: video games. The 35-year-old former Disney Channel star is now voicing and embodying Marco Silva, a major character in MindsEye, an upcoming cinematic action-adventure title dropping June 10 on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Speaking to PEOPLE over Zoom, Thomas called the project “a massive action-adventure, highly cinematic game that really feels almost like you’re playing a movie.”

His role? An eccentric billionaire named Marco Silva, who helms a fictional tech giant called Silva Corp. But Thomas isn't just lending his voice—he's been fully digitized for the game.

“Everything is digital, but it’s me in the game, which is wild to me,” he says. “They scanned me into the system and basically built a digital version of me. I’m aged up a bit, but it’s still totally me.”

The process used advanced face-scanning tech to capture Thomas’ facial expressions and subtle movements, creating a performance that feels truly lifelike.

“It’s all of my facial movements, all the nuance,” he adds. “It’s like I’m there—but in pixels.”

And while he's not pulling real-life stunts, his digital self is definitely living out some action hero moments.

“I get to do all my own stunts, which is fantastic,” Thomas jokes. “I mean, I’m not jumping off any buildings in real life—but digitally? Absolutely.”

The game has been in the works for more than four years and is one of the most ambitious narrative-led titles of the year. To celebrate the release, Thomas will be streaming live on Twitch throughout launch week, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look and sharing gameplay in real time.

“The story’s going to knock your socks off,” he teases.

From sitcoms to Silva Corp, Jake Thomas is officially in his gamer era—and it sounds like it’s just the beginning.
