You don’t always have to be famous to be remembered. Sometimes, you just have to be good with what you do!

This ‘Roti Uncle’ who has been selling ‘roti kaya’ by Penang Street gained internet fame overnight when a street artist, Acit Raman Abdulla shared fond memories of growing up with him!
The artist was touched to know that the humble bread seller, known as Muniandi still remembered him as the kid who loved doodling, even after about 30 years!

Now that Acit is a full-fledged artist, he decided to contact the ‘legend’ in Balik Pulau and ask if his fellow artist comrade Andhar A Samah could do a mural for him!
Upon approaching him about the mural at his house, Acit was so surprised that the ‘Roti Uncle’ still vividly remembered Acit and his mother, and how she used to exchange coins with him.
Well, now that we have a mural for Muniandi, we guess the future generations can remember him as well!
Penangites, how well do you know this Uncle?
