So you’ve decided to expand your family and have a baby. Now’s a good time to upgrade to a car that’ll keep up with your growing family’s needs too.

After all, the baby seat, extra luggage, and toys will take up space. Plus, you’ll want to make sure it’s equipped with the best safety features to keep your little VIP safe.

How about the Honda City? It’s spacious, packed with advanced safety features AND stylish too.

The Honda City lineup offers five variants including 2 new Road Sailing (RS) models: Petrol RS and e:HEV RS. Whether you prefer a powerful petrol engine or the fuel efficiency of a hybrid, there's a RS variant to suit your family’s lifestyle and budget.

What makes the Honda City a good family car for first-time parents?

#1 It’s got all the space you need

Size matters, especially when your family is expanding. The Honda City keeps things practical with its 60:40 Rear Foldable Seats, offering more space and comfort for passengers, even when you’ve got a baby seat installed!

The spaciousness extends to the boot too, with 519L of cargo space! There’ll be plenty of room for your luggages, baby stroller, school bags, and more.

#2 It’s equipped with enhanced safety features

Safety on the road is always a priority, but suddenly, when you’ve got a little one to think about, it becomes a necessity.

The Honda City checks this requirement… and more.

It’s fitted with 6 airbags and Honda SENSING safety features that consist of Lead Car Departure Notification System, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist System, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Low Speed Follow (for e:HEV RS only) and more.

Both Petrol RS and e:HEV RS models also come with smartphone connectivity, thanks to Honda CONNECT. Besides helping you to locate your car, the app, more impressively, can automatically detect a collision and call for help, and alert you when the security alarm is triggered.

Additionally, the Honda City’s Walk Away Auto Lock comes in handy on days when you’ve got your hands full with groceries and a crying child, and forget to lock your door.

#3 It’s easy to connect the display to your phone

When you’re a parent, you’ll probably have multiple apps and children songs saved on your phone to keep your child entertained.

With Honda City’s Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ Wireless Connectivity, you can easily connect your phone to the 8-inch display audio and pull up their favourite Didi & Friends song or make handsfree calls.

Other upgraded features you’ll find in the Honda City (except for the S variant) interior include 8 speakers, enhanced Multi-Angle Rear View Camera and Rear USB Port (Type C).

#4 It offers a powerful drive

Safety and space aside, when you’re getting a new car, you’d want one that’s enjoyable to drive too.

The top-tier RS variant boasts a 1.5L e:HEV powertrain, producing 109PS of maximum power and 253Nm torque, which is the best in its class. Meanwhile, the 1.5 DOHC i-VTEC engine can deliver a maximum power of 121PS and a maximum torque of 145Nm.

#5 It’s got a sleeker design and bolder look

Who says family cars must look boring?

The unique RS design features a new Honeycomb Front Grille, Front Lower Grille, Rear Diffuser, Side Skirting, and ‘RS’ emblem. Plus, the Front and Rear Bumper, and 16-inch Dual-Tone Alloy Wheels give it an extra edge.

Compared to its predecessor, the Petrol RS and e:HEV RS variants are also longer with a refreshed bumper design measuring 4,589mm in length while the S, E and V variants are 4,580mm.
