WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!

It's been a few months since Squid Game was released, and yes, we’re still very much invested in the thriller series, especially when it comes to gossip about the second season!

Rumors have been going around that one of our favorite characters could be making a comeback, despite being killed off in Season 1.

Yeap..as it turns out, the hit show's creator, Hwang Dong-hyuk is reportedly "brainstorming" ways to bring back HoYeon Jung, who played fan fave Sae-byeok, aka player number 067. We say GREEN LIGHT to this!

While speaking to Deadline, Dong-hyuk was asked if cast members from Season 1 would make a return for the second installment of the Netflix series.

“There will be more great games, that’s all I can say.” he said. “I’m just still brainstorming and collecting the ideas for Season 2. I haven’t even started with the writing yet.”

When asked about whether the “dead” stars will be returning, Dong-hyuk said with a laugh: “No, because most of them are dead,”

“I’ll try something to bring them back to Season 2,” he said. Oooh! Will there be flashbacks? The dead characters making a comeback as a…dead person?!

When asked about HoYeon specifically, he gave a pretty big hint, adding: "Let’s say maybe she has a twin sister, you’ll see."

In response, HoYeon herself joked, "I could change my hair colour. Let’s do a little like plastic surgery."

Hoyeon Jung rose to fame after her debut in Squid Game last year, which earned her a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series.

While Jung’s character didn’t make it to the end of the competition, fans of the show have grown quite fond of the South Korean actor.

We hope Player 067 will make a return in Season 2!
