Potential Spoiler ahead, so proceed with caution if you have yet to watch the movie.

#ILoveYou3000. Yes guys, that line has been overwhelming Marvel fans since the release of Avengers: Endgame.

In Avengers: Endgame, a young Morgan Stark says “I love you 3000” to her father, Tony Stark, in response to him saying… well, we’ll stop here to avoid ruining the scene for those who have yet to watch it.

Fans were quick to translate the meaning of what she said to loving someone more than a ton, because well, a ton is 2000 pounds.

… but it seems like there’s more to it if you look closer, deeper, with your mathematical third eye.

Some fans claim that “I love you 3000” is an indirect reference to all the movies under the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

If you add up the cumulative running time of every film in the MCU (22 to date, 1 more to come), the total length would be 3,000 minutes!

While we first went all “awww” over the theory, we actually did the math as well but we’re not getting the same answer!

Our total came up to only 2,909 minutes! Did we miss something?

None of the filmmakers however have commented on whether or not the dialogue was meant to make a reference to the total runtime of the movies, but nothing is stopping fans and meme creators from coming up with their own theories, after following the MCU’s 11-year journey.

Do you believe this theory, or do you have your own? Share your thoughts with us!
