Opportunities don’t come knocking on your door all the time, so when it does, we should make full use of it.

However, for this 33 year-old Indonesian man, the opportunity of becoming a millionaire came falling through the roof instead!

Josua Hutagalung found a steaming hot meteorite just outside his house one afternoon and to his amazement, he later found that the 2.1kg space rock is worth around 1.85 million US dollars!

The coffin maker told local media that the rock landed while he was working a few months ago. The rock is actually estimated to be around 4.5 billion years old!

According to sources, the meteorite is said to be an extremely rare variety. Josua’s sons told him not to sell the rock to which he first agreed, believing it’s a sign of good fortune for his family and village. He sold a small fragment of it that broke off. However, by mid-September, he decided to sell off the rock to three separate dealers, who later sold them to collectors.

Josua also added that he’s planning on using a portion of the money to build a church in his community.

He hopes that this sudden stroke of luck is a sign that he’d have a daughter soon as he’s always wanted one.

This story is unbelievably interesting. All the best to you, Josua!
